British Standard Egress Nightlatches

British Standard Egress Nightlatches need to comply with BS8621: 2004, which makes it mandatory to provide keyless egress in order to ensure fast and unrestricted exiting of multi-occupancy and public buildings during an emergency. They allow occupants to quickly and easily leave a building without using a key, by operating an easy-to-turn lever on the inside of the door. A nightlatch also provides secure and safe locking on the outside to prevent unauthorised entry, and often includes bolt throws and cylinder protectors.

The British Standard Nightlatches that are sold by easylocks come from the highly regarded manufacturer, ERA. Both models, the ERA 150 and ERA 1730 are auto-deadlocking and come with a wide choice of case and cylinder finishes, including polished brass, polished chrome, satin chrome and satin nickel. The locks come with three keys, which can be keyed to differ or keyed alike. British Standard Egress Nightlatches provide high security, with a 20mm bolt throw and a drill-resistant cylinder protector.
