British Standard Mortice Sashlocks
A mortice sashlock will provide two levels of protection to a door or window by locking it with a handle as well as a key. It combines a deadlock with a latch to give greater security and peace of mind, and is designed to withstand excessive force. Key locking and handle operation can be activated on one side, or on both sides, of the door and mortice sashlocks can be installed on internal and external doors. They can have any number of levers, from two to five, but to meet British Standards and comply with most insurance regulations, a high-quality five lever mechanism and 20mm bolt is required.
A wide selection of British Standard Mortice Sashlocks from recognised brands like Union, Securefast and Legge is available from easylocks. These fully conform to the latest British Standard regulations and many, like the Union 2234e 5 Lever Mortice Sashlock, include anti drill plates and are pierced to allow bolt-through furniture. A choice of finishes is offered, with chrome-plated, polished brass and satin chrome options, and sashlocks can be keyed to differ or keyed alike.
