A digital video recorder is also known as a (DVR), or in some cases called a personal video recorder (PVR) is an electronic device that uses software to store video footage from CCTV Cameras which is then stored on either the hard drive or an external storage device. There are many types of DVRs available on the market, so it can be a bit daunting on which one to choose, the 3 most important questions you need to ask your self are, how many cameras will be connected, what resolution of camera, for example HD, and what storage space is required.
