Mortice Door Bolts
Mortice door bolts are typically fitted in pairs, mortised into the top and bottom of the door, to provide extra securing points to reinforce the primary lock and prevent the door being forced. The bolts are normally operated by a retractable star key, but it is possible to fix a retained handle to engage the bolt.
Paired bolts are available as a package including a matching star key from both the ERA and ezlok ranges. The ERA 383 set includes wall plates and keyhole trims, plus a single key. The choice of finishes includes brass, white, and satin chrome. The ezlok bolt set also includes two bolts in a brass finish, plus key. Both of these models have a recess depth of 60mm. Where emergency access may be required, a fitted handle such as the ezlok mortice door bolt turn knob provides an easily located opener without the need for a key. All of these items are available from easylocks
